Welcome
I’m a writer and photographer based on the sandy soils of the Swan coastal plain, in the south-west of Terra Australis. At home in the natural world and invigorated by it in so many ways, one of the reasons I write and take photographs is to invite others into this relationship.
I’m currently writing an environmental history of south-western Australia, as a Research Fellow at the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute. I’m also an occasional host of Western Australia’s only environmental radio show, Understorey, on RTR 92.1 FM in Perth. In another role I’m the photographer and venue manager for Kulcha, a multicultural performance venue in Fremantle. I’m available for editorial and photographic work. My work is, and will remain, the production of a stream of ecological writings and photography with soul.
To reach me you can send an email to tom at tmwilson.org.
My book, featured above, is the first to consider the work of one of the most critically acclaimed and widely popular post-war English writers from the perspective of ecocriticism. To order the book go to Amazon. The official site which previews the books is located at Rodopi.
